Oliver Jones aka Skream

There's no doubt in my mind that Skream has pushed the boundaries of dubstep and I suppose you can argue that in a sense his remix of La Roux's 'In For The Kill' was where it began for dubstep, the attention, publicity and mainstream recognition.

Since then things have moved drastically quick for the sound of dubstep (I don't like to use the word 'genre') and for Skream, fastly becoming a household name in dubstep.

This year especially is going to become equally if not more important for Skream, with his album dropping in the upcoming months (release date tba) entitled 'Outside The Box' many critics and music fans will be listening in closely, analyzing each song and inevitably some being highly critical because his name is Skream.

Having heard few samples of what to expect in the album I am excited by the fact that Skream has seemingly added another route to dubstep, trying to broaden his music to a larger audience which can only help the evolving nature of dubstep.

Check out the tracks Skream has uploaded on the link below, there's minimal, filth and melodies. Who knows, some might even end up on his new album :D
